TITTLE: Love Song

Context of the work: Ranaivo, Flavien (1914-99). Malagasy poet. His father died two years after his birth. He began formal education only at the age of 8 and his schooling was entirely in Malagasy until he was 14. He became a teacher, and during World War II fought with the Free French. After the war he entered the Civil Service, occupying posts both in France and Madagascar. Since 1970 he has lived in France.
Summary: this poem is all about friendship. The want to point out that don’t love your friend just for you get benefits to them, and friendship is a thing that you cant buy to anyone because its natural to our people to be nice to someone who also nice to you,
Your analysis of the story/drama/poem/essay: for me the 1st stanza there say that don’t love me friend like your shadow because shadow’s fades at evening it means if you have a good friendship with someone dont be friend to him or her because you get sometimes from them, because friendship where ever you go your friend are still there never back fight you and they will support you to make you happy, and the 3rd stanza say that Do not love me like a pillow One would meet in sleep And not see each other During the day the point here that if you friend want you only to see if you need them if you don’t have problem you don’t want to be with them because friendship is all season you will be together what ever happen sad or happiest you both face it, the last is Love me like a dream For dreams are your life In the night And my hope in the day. We know that we love dreaming that’s also in friendship we love them as they love us. As we dream for our life its like to dream to have a good friend and for long time friend
Give your personal opinion about the piece: for me it is very nice poem I really like it, its poem about friendship and this poem make myself to love more my friend because when you need someone only your friend can comfort you when your sad your friend are there to comfort you when are happy they also there beside you happy what you get, that’s the true life of friendship J
yeah !!! indeed :D .. his poem "Love Song" has a good message .. especially to all teenagers who have a friends out there .. they can relate .. :D
